About Anske Ruyters

Body-Oriented Psychotherapist | Yoga Teacher | Sound & Shamanic Healer

Anske has always moved through life with a natural rhythm. Dance and movement have been her purest forms of self-expression and discovery. After completing her studies in speech therapy and audiology, she felt a deep calling to expand her horizons—a calling that led her to Africa.
In 2007, she traveled to Ghana, immersing herself in the rich traditions of Ghanaian dance and training daily with the dance troupe of the National Cultural Center in Tamale. Within the warmth and connection of the community, she overcame her introversion, found space to release deeply held emotions, and experienced true freedom of expression.

Her time in Asia brought fresh inspiration: Yoga, Butoh dance, Acroyoga, and Thai massage gave her profound insight into the connection between movement and healing—physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. Back in Europe, she deepened her knowledge through numerous trainings, including Holistic Children’s Yoga, Drama Therapy, Shamanic Healing, Sound Healing, Focusing, Mindfulness, and Psychodrama. In 2021, she began a four-year Integrative Psychotherapy program, which she successfully completed in October 2025.

Her recent thesis explores the healing power of movement and traditional Ghanaian dance in trauma recovery. This milestone marks a significant chapter in Anske’s professional journey and underscores her deep connection with rhythm, dance, and self-healing.

Anske invites you to explore how to release blocks, reconnect with your deepest self, and create a life full of joy, balance, and vitality. With her holistic approach—blending movement, dance, yoga, sound, and psychotherapy—she opens a path toward healing and transformation.
